Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 10 February 2026
Welcome to Trustoe ("Trustoe", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and any related content (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using Trustoe, you ("you", "user") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to Consumers (individuals acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft, or profession) and Business users (including self-employed professionals, companies, and organizations using Trustoe in connection with their trade or professional activity). Where a distinction is needed, we explicitly refer to "Consumers" or "Business Users".
1. Who We Are
Trustoe is a human-first platform that allows local professionals (drivers, guides, fixers, hosts, and similar) to create a personal public page where they share local knowledge, tips, and recommendations with travelers. Trustoe currently focuses on content, trust, and discovery. Trustoe is not a booking platform, marketplace, or online travel agency (OTA).
2. Eligibility and User Categories
By using the Service, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction
- You have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- If you act on behalf of a business or organization, you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms
2.1 Consumers
If you use Trustoe as a traveler or casual user for personal purposes, you are considered a Consumer. Certain rights may apply to you under consumer protection laws in your country. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit those mandatory Consumer rights.
2.2 Business Users
If you use Trustoe to promote your local expertise or in connection with your professional or commercial activity, you are a Business User. This includes users such as Chauffeur/NCC drivers, Tour guides, Local guides and fixers, Experience hosts, and other hospitality, tourism, or cultural professionals and companies.
Business Users acknowledge that these Terms form a legally binding agreement between Trustoe and the business, and local consumer and business-to-business laws may apply in addition to these Terms.
3. Our Role
3.1 Platform for Local Knowledge
Trustoe provides a digital space where Business Users can create a profile page, share local recommendations, tips, cultural references, and suggested activities, and collect and display reviews from Consumers or other travelers. We facilitate the creation and display of this content. We do not provide travel, guiding, transportation, accommodation, or similar services ourselves.
3.2 No Booking or Payment Intermediation (Current Phase)
At this stage, Trustoe does not process bookings or reservations, does not handle or process payments between users, and any communication, agreements, or transactions between Business Users and Consumers occur outside of Trustoe and at their own risk.
4. Accounts, Onboarding, and Profiles
4.1 Business User Profiles
Business Users may have profiles created and published through a manual, "white-glove" onboarding process. You submit information via forms or other tools, the Trustoe team may review, edit, translate, and format the information, and the final profile is published at Trustoe's discretion.
You agree that all information provided is accurate, current, and complete, you will promptly update your information if it changes, you have all necessary licenses, permits, and authorizations required by law to offer your services (if applicable), and Trustoe may, at its discretion, feature or highlight certain Business User profiles on the homepage or other areas of the Service without needing separate approval from the Business User.
4.2 Consumer Use
Consumers and other visitors can leave reviews, access Business User profiles, read local tips, recommendations, and reviews, and optionally follow links or contact details provided by Business Users. Consumers do not currently need an account to view profiles.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
5.1 User-Generated Content
"User-Generated Content" includes any text, photos, reviews, recommendations, and other materials submitted by Business Users or Consumers. By submitting User-Generated Content, you grant Trustoe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify (for clarity, formatting, and translation), publish, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
You confirm that you own the content or hold all necessary rights to grant this license, and the content does not infringe any third-party rights (including privacy, publicity, and intellectual property rights). You may request edits or removal of your content; we will act within a reasonable time, subject to technical and legal limitations.
5.2 Trustoe Content and Brand
All rights in and to the Service, including the website design, layout, logos, trademarks, and any materials created by Trustoe, are owned or licensed by us. You may not, without our prior written consent, copy, distribute, or modify any Trustoe-owned content or use our name, logo, or trademarks in a way that implies endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to engage in any unlawful or fraudulent activity, post or share any content that is defamatory, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, misleading, or otherwise objectionable, harass, threaten, or harm other users, post fake, misleading, or incentivized reviews, promote or conduct activities in violation of applicable laws or regulations, or attempt to interfere with the security, operation, or integrity of the Service.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms or misuses the Service.
7. Reviews and Recommendations
7.1 Consumer Reviews
Consumers and other users may submit reviews or feedback on Business User profiles. By submitting a review, you agree that it reflects your honest opinion and genuine experience, is not false, misleading, or malicious, and you grant Trustoe a license to use, reproduce, and display the review as part of the Service.
We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to moderate, edit, or remove reviews that we reasonably consider to violate these Terms or applicable law, or the ones that are offensive and/or using inappropriate language.
7.2 Nature of Information
Recommendations, tips, and any content on Trustoe represent the personal views and suggestions of Business Users or other users, are informational only and do not constitute professional, legal, or safety advice from Trustoe, and may become outdated or inaccurate over time (e.g., venues may close or change). Users should verify critical information (e.g., opening hours, safety, legal requirements, accessibility) independently.
8. No Professional Advice and No Guarantee
The Service and all content on Trustoe are provided for informational purposes only. Trustoe does not guarantee the quality, reliability, legality, or safety of any Business User, location, venue, activity, or recommendation, does not act as an employer, principal, or agent of Business Users, and does not provide professional travel, legal, financial, medical, or other regulated advice. Any decision based on information found on Trustoe is made at your own risk.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
Profiles and content may link to third-party websites or services (e.g., maps, social media, booking tools). We do not control and are not responsible for these third-party sites, content, or practices. Your use of third-party sites or services is governed only by their terms and policies.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
Your use of Trustoe is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data. Business Users understand that profile details and any contact information or links they choose to share may be visible to anyone accessing the profile, and they are responsible for only sharing information they are comfortable making public.
Consumers and Business Users should not share sensitive personal data via unprotected channels.
11. Availability and Changes to the Service
We aim to keep Trustoe available and simple to use, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that any defects or issues will be corrected immediately. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including during this early MVP phase.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we disclaim all warranties and representations, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement.
Because much of the content is created by users, we cannot and do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any User-Generated Content, or that any particular Business User or recommendation will meet your expectations.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any mandatory warranties or rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trustoe, its founders, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or reputation) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to any user (Consumer or Business User) for any and all claims relating to the Service or these Terms will be limited to the greater of: the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim (if any), or EUR 50.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (for example, certain cases of personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence).
14. Indemnification (Primarily for Business Users)
Business Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Trustoe, its founders, employees, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with their use or misuse of the Service, their breach of these Terms, or their violation of any law or third-party rights (including consumer protection, licensing, and data protection laws).
Consumers may also be required to indemnify us if they misrepresent facts, submit unlawful content, or otherwise violate these Terms in a way that causes us damage.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and if changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example, via the website).
If you continue to use the Service after the updated Terms become effective, you are deemed to have accepted them. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service.
16. Termination and Suspension
We may, at our sole discretion, at any time suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or remove or disable your profile or content. Reasons may include violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, legal risk, or harm to other users.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion or deactivation of your profile, subject to our legal and operational obligations.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- If you are a Consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence may also apply, and you may have the right to bring claims before the competent courts of that country
- If you are a Business User, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece
